One Direction is expected to release their album, 'Midnight Memories,' on November 25, 2013. Their last album, 'Take Me Home,' opened with 540,000 and dropped to 176,000 (-67%) in its second week.

Britney Spears is expected to release her album, 'Britney Jean,' on December 2, 2013. Her last album, 'Femme Fatale,' opened with 276,000 and dropped to 75,000 (-73%) in its second week.

Will One Direction remain at #1 for a second week to block Britney's debut week, or will she emerge with the top-selling album out of the two for that week?

Um, well my prediction for BJ is 175K - 225K. And that's probably a stretch, so if their first week is bigger than their last album's and their drop is the same, then she'll probably get blocked.

But Billboard has them at 500K, meaning their second week would be within the 150K - 175K range, and BJ could scan a tad more than that, so fingers crossed!

Maybe, but at least on the first week britney can pull it plus its her main and biggest market, second week will drop like -90% but she can get that #1 she has an easy week if not
