Hard to tell really. She could easily smash with DWUW if the video is right and her performances aren't that weird. Plus there's something weird about Gaga that people will always care about, whether that's from a place of love or hatred is a different question tho.
On a second thought, Kanye is kinda of a cult artist he has lost all of his mainstream appeal but he still has that big core fanbase that cares for him. And the media still loves to discuss him. If touring and other ventures don't work out for Gaga I can see her heading the same path as Ye, but it's a long way left really.
