That's a pretty BOLD statement. I know and am one of the black people that find Zwarte Piet very offensive. The fact that this "tradition" made it past slavery and colonial times is mind blowing. I don't think you should throw out statements like that in regards to others personal feelings. Some find it offensive as hell, others do not. Can't out a number on the amount who do or don't.

That's not even it. You won't find anyone here giving more than a shrug about the netherlands words for ****** or ****** but to use an image of black people to scare little children and to carry around **** for a white Sint as slaves is offensive as hell. But nothing is done about it, because white Dutch people truly could care less about what's offensive to others, they pretty much do whatever they want.
