The title track is far and away the best song on the ablum even though I often skip it. It's a good album anyway but other than that song it's not like they really evolved that much (which is fine).

A band like Sade with a distinct timeless sound doesn't need to evolve. Their sound is their sound. It's not trendy, and that's why every time they comeback, people will scream, shout and support, while a band like No Doubt (who I love a lot), gets the cold shoulder from the public.

No. it's not like they have had the same sound the whole time, they have always been evolving. They probably feel like they have arrived at a sound they find optimal now, so they're probably gonna keep going in that lane, but listening to songs like SoL, they obviously still like to experiment with it. It would have been a more interesting album if they had chosen to go in the direction of that track, but it's still a great album none the less.

Sade on the other hand her whole discography is great, funny they don't like her much in the UK, but If you look at

Fleetwood Mac, they only delivered Rumours as a perfect album, Alanis two albums, Kate 4

albums 'till 1986 the rest meh, Tori 3 albums it isn't easy.

A whole album of "Soldier of Love" tracks would have been just as monotonous. "Love Is Found" sounds too much like a SOL knockoff, for example. And I just don't see how "Solder of Love" is that experimental or different from a lot of the stuff they've done in the past.

Yeah, I'm perplexed by how much Sade are paid dust in the UK but have a much better following here in the U.S.
