This one happened where I used to live. It is a very small community and murder was shocking enough. But this was very cold and they still have no idea who did it.
It's pretty interesting, they like find the tiniest amount of forensic evidence and then link it to a crime. One episode was about this husband that murdered his wife and there was no evidence that he had done it and years passed but someone found a barrel near this river or something and it was revealed she had could have been burnt to death. So there was a tree near where the barrel was where they assumed the fire had started and this particular trees DNA could be contaminated after a fire had been started on it and they looked back over the years on it's DNA and found a fire had started the night she had been missing so they could then link the murder to him since it was a barrel from his home.
I love watching shows like Forensic Files and those murder shows. They always freak me out because being murdered is like my worst nightmare. I find the whole thing really interesting. Missing kids who are like gone for 20 years and stuff really interest me because who knows? Maybe they ARE still out there.
Absolutely, I've always been interested by true crime accounts, in novels, movies and any other format really. To the person that mentioned the Zodiac Killer above, I too am really interested in that case, and LOVE the movie that came out a few years back! The show Unsolved Mysteries from the 80's/90's used to simultaneously creep me out and intrigue me, too. I am actually working on a bit of a script for a horror/thriller that is loosely based on an unsolved missing person's case of a young girl from New Hampshire in the 80's. The research is really interesting, but I'll admit, it does creep me out sometimes, even with an old case!
It comes on lifetime
Plus forensic files and the new detectives>>>
It's the new version with Dennis Farrina which is incredibly inferior to the original with Robert Stack. FF and ND ****, but I feel like I keep seeing the same FF episodes over and over.
