Iiris Vesik, as an artist better known mononymously as IIRIS, is an Estonian singer-songwriter and actress. After completing the promotion of her first and debut studio album entitled “The Magic Gift Box“, released in 2012 via EMI Music, the singer is currently promoting the follow-up and debut EP entitled “Chinaberry Girl“, released on digital retailers on August 26, 2013.
The lead single is the track “Tigerhead” and it was released on iTunes on May 31. The music video directed by Kaimar Kukk was shot in early-September and it was premiered on VEVO on November 15. As happened with her compatriot Kerli, Iiris wants to jump internationally and showcase her music to the world. For me her style is a mix between Japanese singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (きゃりーぱみゅぱみゅ) and Björk.
In her early days in the music scene, the singer had a pop rock sound. Now in this new era, her style blends influences of synthpop and indie pop music. The video is really simple, but at the same time beautiful. During the video, you can see Iiris either standing, dancing, lying on the bed in big room with bright blue walls and also a bath, sofas, a bed and a lot of flowers in it.
