Overall Katy needs to outsell Gaga In ALbums, In Singles ( Katy has 90M Singles sold WW without Roar, Gaga has 120M SIngles sold according to Billboard, Gaga has 24M Albums sold, Katy has 11M) And Katy Is going to need 350M More tour gross also . . . Let alone Impact .. Gaga Is still one of the most famous Singers WW, whereas there are people that don't even know Katy exist In some countries .. Katy Is more popular rn but she Is not more famous ...

In other words Katy Is going to need 3 more eras (without Gaga releasing anything) so she can surpass her. . .

Katy has surpassed her yes, but Gaga's impact cannot be taken away from her.

Gagas worldwide impact isn't debatable. I mean, a part of Tokyo Tower is literally dedicated to her. Guinness deemed her the most famous celebrity. Art exhibits have been dedicated in her name. Her meat dress is next to props and clothes worn by legends (and nope, you guessed it! no katy cheese-hat to be found!)

You can drag her for her current state all you want, but that doesn't negate her career.

I love how Grammys are upheld by many as the most prestigious award an artist can win yet the only people you ever see dissing them are Katy fans and occasionally Beiliebers.

I am shocked by amount of people who honestly believe that commercial success can put musician on the top of pop-world.
Katy Perry is a good bubblegum-pop-star who writes safe not risky primitive gp-friendly music without musical or lyrical depth ( musical depth is brave experiments ,lyrical depth is using not banal metaphors and cultural references ).
Perry is successful , yes,but not because she is real artist with interesting vision ,it`s because her images and creativity always relate to the casual listener/ average person who almost always prefers good-sounding/good-looking artistic emptiness than risky,weird ( in vanguard way ),visionary,quintessential pop-reality that Lady Gaga creates

Performing - no.

She still needs a huge tour.
