The album has been out for nearly 5 days and the only promo she's done is artRave and Howard Stern.

I see 4 million if she chooses the right singles and actually does some decent worldwide promotion.

I disagree with everyone. I just hope next time around she takes a real break and gets inspired by something interesting. She needs to go back to NYC and live life for a while.

Her next album needs to come from her soul and not be so focused on electronic production and loud dance beats. This is now her 4th release with that kind of focus.

but if she has Cheek to Cheek coming out with Tony I can't see her putting out her own unplugged album any time soon... two acoustic albums within a year? not a great idea.

She could go urban.. but the GP won't really be here for it imo..

To me,not really. She was on tour half of the time,then had her surgery and worked on her album. I was thinking a break where she seriously delayed all work for an album and tour,went traveling by herself or with her family,enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas, **** Taylor etc. Not smoking pot in a studio with DJ White Shadow and sleeping with Tara in a London hotel room. Everyone really liked the material that came up with when she was living in her tiny apartment and going to bars and shows in Lower Manhattan. Maybe she needs actual PERSONAL time for herself.

Why is everyone having meltdowns? It's pretty **** for first week sales but Applause started off badly and is still going now. There's no reason for us to be worried. It's OBVIOUSLY not going to sell as much as Born This Way, but it's by no means a flop yet.
