Ok so I have been reading about this and it seems that this happening in different places in the USA. The perpetrators seems to be Black young males (sometimes females) and they like to punch or gang up an unknown victim. Usually attacking Whites or Asians.

Ok so why is this not discuss more out there? Why is it not on the big news network? Is it because the victims are usually Whites that this is just been ignored and so it is not call a Hate crime? Because it clearly it is a race thing. If this was happening the other way around and there were group of white kids punching Blacks randomly across the USA will that get more news attention and Black leaders riled up?

I just don't understand why this is not label as a Hate Crime and why is not been covered on the big news network? I guess for now on, if you are White or Asian, cross the street if you see a group of Black young kids getting close to you. I hope that is not label a racist thing to do? What do you guys think about this?

Because sometimes advertising crime trends on the news gives them more significance and creates a bigger epidemic. Certain types of crimes jump when they are acknowledged because it gives a person the sense of notoriety.

I dont understand what you are trying to say? Of course this should be talk about more. Especially Black role models and leaders should be outspoken about this racist game. Also the victims here shouldn't get a 'sense of notoriety' as well? Why do we choose what victim should get better treatment and attention and while others we just don't care?

If anyone where to try this in my town, the people involved would have 10+ people on their doorstep that night ready to beat their ass.

Please racism is a position of the oppressor who has power. Black people cannot be racist. What you described is just discrimination (if it's true).

I remember reading about something similar being done in the UK. They call it 'happy slapping'.

It just seems that nobody wants to point the finger. On Facebook people are already saying that news outlets are racist for only showing black perpetrators

Here's a question: Would you consider the white men who went to Africa and captured everyone of a different skin color for enslavement to be racist even though those white people didn't have more power since they were in a foreign country?

Racism has nothing to do with power, it has to do with marginalizing a person's identity by branding them by their race while ignoring other unique qualities.
