True. I would buy it, but it needs to be a LOT cheaper than what it is. I would pay $150 for it... maybe $180 if some of the upcoming games are good. I just don't see it as a next-gen console.

The hate is from people who don't own one; it's pretty self-explanatory.
That would be the majority of the world population. What you fail to realize is that those certain individuals who don't own one actually will be the ones who determine if they will eventually own one. With tech sites panning the Wii U like this it just makes it less appealing for the consumer to throw their coins to such a machine.
it's not "terrible" but it's not particularly enticing either.
