When are you gonna be fully recovered?

I'll be able to start running again in a month-ish, hopefully. I get the stitches out a week from tomorrow so I'll get an update then. I should be able to walk in about a week. At least I better because Catching Fire premieres a week from Thursday and I'm scheduled to work that night.

Ugh, I know the struggle of not being able to run. I was supposed to take time off in the middle of my season because I have bad hips myself, but I didn't, and now I have to take three weeks off before I can start again
But I hope you recover quickly What exactly happened to your hips?
And this is another random question... everyone keeps mentioning that you were the youngest in the competition, how old are you?

My hip (singular) is a funny story...Back during July I started having inner hip problems, which we thought was just a groin pull. I took two weeks off and cross-trained then came back slower but alright. About 1/4 through the actual season the pain started coming back so we had an X-ray done which revealed a hole. Next came an MRI and CAT-scan. Eventually they found a minor labral tear caused because I had an abnormal bump on my bone (Just like Gaga ), but the real problem turned out to be a cyst on my inferior ramus (lower part of the pelvis).

So the procedure had two surgeons. One stapled back the labrum, and the other drained the cyst and filled it in with some bone supplement.

And I'm 16.

Gurl I'd get fired.

Hopefully I'm on door where I can just sit in a chair. I should be alright by then, at least. If me and my crutches get trampled by Hunger Games fans, the Reunion is cancelled.

My best time (from a year and a half ago, what with the hip problem) is an 18:00.

But I'll be low 17:00s to mid 16:00s next year. I do better the longer a race is; I love half-marathons.

It's okay, I had a lot of problems this season and my best time was an 18:08. I can understand the frustration.
And I was going to run a half on Thanksgiving but I decided I needed to take time off before I injured myself any further.
