Music News: New Iggy Single This Christmas!

She also mentioned (again) the live version of "The New Classic" (which will consist on the album tracks w/ live band instrumentals - kinda like the "Work Stripped" VEVO thing I guess):

giving me a***lia b**ks vibes with this talk about a 2nd album w/o even having her first one out! even if its just a "live" one or w/e. & I wouldn't be interested in something like that tbh. I liked "Work" with the strings and all that stuff, but it sounded off & awkward sometimes. The tempo of song is awkward with those instruments imo, the tempo of most of her songs would be too.

^^It's not a second album, would probably work like an Unplugged.

Anyway this new single will come just in time after the AMAs where Iggy will make a surprise appearance and get CYL in the top 100 on iTunes and just as it shows signs of taking off in the US we will all be excited for the actual NEW one a la "Work"/VMAs and force ha label to kill that momentum

i mean, obviously, i said so in my comment. but still, i hate when artist like her and AB start talking about other projects or ideas to expand on the project they're currently on w/o it even being released!!

i say **** it and re-release work & cyl, because they're such waste of singles w/o proper promo. like there has been basically 0% promo with her. both of those songs are way too good to be let go like this.

her whole situation pisses me off but at least she's in the best shape from all the newbie female rappers.

But a live version of an album is not a completely different project though, I see it more like an experiment/extension for creative fulfillment rather than possible attention/sales it will bring...

I think it's very natural she had an idea like that while writing/recording the album, probably felt it would be good to try out something different with the same body of work - just like it happened during the Work single campaign.

And the album is done now, she's just waiting for her label to give her the green light so I don't see what's wrong about starting to have ideas for upcoming projects, it may be weird if you already set a release date for them too but depends on the artist's work method I suppose.

I wish her record company would get their heads out of their a**** and promote her. If anything, re-release Work (which has been still doing better than CYL) and promote it. Work still sounds so fresh to me and its incredibly catchy.
