ARTPOP is just messy overall. The lyrics are awful, the production is the same for every damn song, and her vocals are annoying. There's tons of potential on most of the songs, though. There's great hooks and choruses all over, but the songs are just ruined by other factors.

Fashion, Venus, GUY, Sex Dreams, and DWUW are still really good tho. Gypsy is too boring for me.

Still not over Reflektor. What an epic album it is. The Suburbs remains their magnum opus tho.

I think it's vacation time for boop.

You're basically begging to get dragged when you call your album "ARTPOP". Add the fact that the album isn't as strong as it should be after an underperforming era + a fairly long break and you get that Metacritic score.

Anywayz, I still think the album can have some sort of longevity if they choose the right singles. But she's deaf and delusional now so who knows.

Legendtina has only one album better than/as good as ARTPOP.

(And no, it's not Stripped, because that's one of the worst albums of all-time.)

Only Fashion and Applause are/were single material on ARTPOP.

The only awful song on ARTPOP is Jewels N' Drugs.

It sounds like a really bad SNL skit.

1. The majority of negative reviews are low because of the album title

*Though I would like someone to explain why the title didn't stop Fiona Apple getting nearly 90 on Metacritic for album with this title:
"The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do"


2. They focus on her personality, not the music

3. Any negative review is written by a hater, critics are biased !!!111!!

4. Critics are snobs, reviews don't matter, critics are pressed, who cares about Metacritic

5. Artpop is still album of the year, the music is great, I don't get it.
