Well considering she was in a country where she would not get arrested, she wasn't quite rebelling against anything really was she? Regardless of the message, I was commenting on the manner in which she did this "rebellion". The way she did it felt very unnatural, and obviously VERY staged. Like when she wanted to get dropped off at the VMAs in a police car. It's all seems to be about style not substance for her. If she wanted to send a message about the illegalization of marijuana she could have done so in words. Simply smoking for a camera comes off as more of a personal rebellion (a look at Miley moment) not one against a government (a look at the mistake the government has made moment).
