Actually The Vocals are more Real and toned Down,I believe she is aiming for LIVE performances. I hope she does not feel the urge to release in the end some more generic hit makers just for the sake of success...and this become another buzz single as Triumphant was... The Song is brilliant and old school.
Vision Of Love - Soul, Intelligent Lyrics, Tune, Melody, and Chorus = The fArt Of Letting Go
It's really unbelievable how bad this is, clearly Mariah and her entire team of YES men have developed tin ears.
The only + side is the Vocals are good. That's the funny thing, she's had good vocals here and on the Triumphant remixes. She just refuses to put good vocals with a catchy pop song. I guess she's forgotten that her bread and butter used to be catchy pop songs.
Mariah Carey I collaborated with Rodney Jerkins on this record, but of course Jermaine is always someone I turn to when making an album and we have a few very exciiiting (said with a hair flip!) collaborations that I can't wait for the lambily to hear.
This song slays hard. I can't @you saying it's boring and bland. But don't listen to me, I also love Triumphant.
#Beautiul remains unbothered tho, still best song of the year.
Actually I think I got another interpretation of the song and why she wanted us to focus on the
"Go to Mimi in your contacts and press delete." It's her way of saying that she's leaving Mimi behind(and everything else that she implied) and is moving forward into a new stage.

That's so deep and symbolic. I like that interpretation
I like the song, its a grower. Its also alot better than what shes had as singles before (what demon possessed her to release I Wanna Know What Love is and especially HATEU had a tight hold). I don't really care about ATRL's opinion since you are all about charts, I really like the song. Mimi don't need no hit, she released the song because it's quality and what she wants to do. Everyone else can remain pressed.
She can't seriously think this will be a hit single?
I like it, but in no way is it a single.
Dharling not everything should be Hit Singles. This is her way to turn more mature and artistic. We had way too many Bimbo wannabe hits over the years...many of those "Hits" really Forgotten over the years.. Its her Time to Really Turn the page and be a Real Artist as she should (And really Was/Is) long ago!
