That was due to the fact her label refused to promote her cause she wouldn't sex up her image.
And parents wouldn't know she was singing about "the hood" UNLESS they bought her album since her single "Keep It Movin" has nothing to do with that.
And "Keep It Movin" is currently a radio disney hit.
And parents that don't approve of her singing about that stuff are just shallow.
I have WAY MORE respect for a person who had to struggle to make it out of the hood than a person that was born into a rich family and had it MADE thier whole life.
And if parents didn't like what Keke was doing her holiday tour wouldn't have averaged4,000 people a night.
Thats almost as much as Ashley Tisdale had for her free mall tour and shes was in HSM plus promoted by her label.
So your whole agruement about her singing about the hood is FALSE.

All the parents have to do is look at the back of the CD, and see "Hood Anthem"...It has nothing to do with the first single, i've seen it with my own eyes. I live in a upper-class community, and almost all the younger kids here only listen to Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Aly & AJ, even Jordan Pruitt (who got less promo than Keke but debuted Top 100) etc, etc proving that kids just dont listen to the type of music Keke sings about. The "Radio Disney Jingle Jam Tour" (not HER tour specifically of course) has always averaged a large amount of people at every venue, it has been for the couple of years its been around, thats just how that is. And im sure you know the demographic that the Jingle Jam Tour pulls in, her album sales havent risen much at all since she's been touring, showing what? That Keke needs to sing more kid friendly and disney friendly music of course, im not saying that Keke is a bad artist for singing about her life or the hood and all that stuff, im just saying, if she wants to get her name out there, and become even mildly successful, she's gonna have to follow the train.
Even Hilary Duff sang disney friendly pop music, but look at her music now. Thats all Keke really needs to do, follow Hilary's example. As you can see, my arguments is not nearly false, in fact, its 95 if not 100% correct, its from experience.
