this snub is just unbelievable. i'm astounded that the drivel that is called CMA's even dares of blacklisting Carrie. ugh they're obnoxious.. Carrie should ignore them and not attend any of their events. EVER.

Ikr I'd prefer if she just told them to **** off, but in the end being a host of the show is giving her better pr than winning one of the awards could.

She is hired by ABC to host not the CMA's

As for what is going on behind the scenes, it has more to do with Carrie's management and their role they play. XIX is known to limit their artist in availability and other things so I suspect the people that vote are on more friendly of terms with other artists management teams than Carrie's. They can snub her all they want, but the talk of the award show the day after was not which artist won what award but it was Carrie and Brad instead.

But really, she may not win any country awards due to backdoor politics but she is respected by the Grammy voters which I think are a more important indicator of things than genre awards. In my opinion ACM/CMA are more of a promotional tool to get artist more relevance that need it. Carrie does not need them to keep her name in the public eye.

She's still the best country artist out there and the GP knows that That's all we need

I just listened to Carrie's medley on the CMAs and she sounded great Any news on her 5th album yet or what she's doing right now?

Other than her saying she's going back to work on album #5 after SOM, nothing much

Hopefully it won't be another 3-4 years

I'm thinking/hoping 4th quarter 2014 or 2nd quarter 2015 If she does last quarter next year that's a 2 1/2 year break. That should be good enough

Okay sisterens I know I have been gone for a good minute, but other than the CMA's & TSOM ... what am I really missing .. am I right? There is absolutely nothing going on besides Twitter & Instagram updates.

Let me start off by saying obviously Carrie slayed me with not only her performance, but all her outfits and her never aging beauty and don't even get me started on them heels which were pure ecstasy.

Now let me go in on the CMA's a little bit. WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH THEM? ANOTHER YEAR, ANOTHER SNUB? MIRANDA LAMBERT ... A BETTER VOCALIST THAN CARRIE? LIKE WTF & don't even get me started on Taylor and her being there with her POP songs which she manages to rework the live arrangements with a country tone just to be able to perform them on country shows and still be accepted.

Carrie should not be going this long and being this successful with huge eras and still be getting snubbed at this show. I mean BA was probably one of her biggest (mainstream especially) eras yet and the girl still gets snubbed even though her performance intro mentioned 4 #1 singles from this album alone.

CMA ... GET YOUR **** TOGETHER! Seriously, if Carrie didn't host every year or perform, I would never watch.
