I hate this sh*t. It is surreal to me when animals go extinct in my lifetime. I can't comprehend. Like really think...that's a species, that no longer exists, and won't exist again (unless we clone and screw stuff up even more).

You honestly expect extinction to stop at some point? It has been happening for hundreds of millions of years and will continue to happen for billions more until the Sun makes the planet uninhabitable. Without extinction Humans wouldn't be alive today, and without extinction whatever takes over from us as the dominant species on earth wouldn't be alive then.


The only reason it looks worse now than at any other point in history is because we've got better records now.

Animals will continue getting extinct thanks to humans. It will still happen probably many hundred years from now I'm afraid, and for the most despiccable reason too: to profit off some part of their body.
