On the topic, I think they had indeed a contract with Guetta, but I doubt Romero played any role on the decision. Considering she was on tour and unable to promote, they must have thought RN would automatically get enough exposure on the mainstream radio during summer and no additional push would be required for getting a hit. Also, they needed an international release to follow Stay, so POTR wasn't an option, really.
