I'll give you that CIL doesn't have a huge influence, but at the time it did. The reason why it hasn't been mimicked much is because it would be very hard to pull off. You need the performance abilities and the vocal intensity to pull it off. There really isn't anyone else who can do that. Also the style (go-go/funk/r&b) is rather specific style. It's not just "pop."
Yes, "Crazy In Love" is more of an example of a perfect pop song than it is an innovative sound. And yes, it mixes a lot of genres (that's why it's pop), so getting a song like it would be very, very difficult. The only person still heavily inspired by that sound is Ailee (the Korean solo singer responsible for "Halo's" insane chart performance on the Gaon charts this year) and even she can't do it justice.
You've found my weakness; I love all of Beyoncé's early music and her work with Destiny's Child.

Well I never considered Britney an artist in the true sense. Pop star...but not an artist. Really, because she's always had little control over the direction of her own career. From the songs she records to the clothes she wears. Most it chosen for her.
THE ORIGINAL RIHANNA OF SORTS!
Britney was never strong as a radio artist, so it's not her that Rihanna is replacing. And Britney not only EPed an album that was inducted in the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame but also is very vocal in the studio. If she really didn't have any say, don't you think they'd get her to promote by now? But slay, I guess.
The ''rock'' songs Britney has aren't rock songs, not even close. Examples?
Britney has had some influences of rock music in her pop songs, but the songs are still pop. Britney has never done any other genre than pop. And that Work Bitch thing. I don't know what genre that is
Beyoncé has done R&B, hip hop, pop, funk, soul etc.
R&B, Hip Hop, Funk and Soul are all connected Don't act like they're opposite ends of the spectrum.
Let us do the list (please help me I am not wikipedia I don't have all the songs down for everyone, one song is enough)
Pop: Britney main Market/ Beyoncé - If I were a Boy
R&B: Britney - Outrageous/ Beyoncé Main Market
Pop-Rock: Britney - I love Rock & Roll/ --
Rock-Soul: -- / 1+1
Electropop: S&S, Work Bitch, FF / Radio, Sweet Dreams
Funk: -- / Work It Out
Dancehall: -- / Baby Boy
Hip-Hop: That Unreleased I don't remember the name of/ Diva, Bow Down, Stop That
Soul: --/ All I Could Do Was Cry, Trust In Me
Gospel: -- / Jesus Loves Me, Holy Is the Lamb, Total Praise (she featured in Michelle Williams album, but co-wrote them with Kirk Franklin and Produce them).
Did I cover all the genres. So Far Beyonce seems to win.
There are some Beyonce songs you could add to those categories but as for new categories, you could also add for Beyonce
Latin/Flamenco: Amor Gitano
Disco: One Night Only
Motown: Most of the Dreamgirls soundtrack
Jazz and/or Jazz Scatting: Bootylicious, Deja Vu Live in Vegas, Fever
Operatic: I Been On, Learn to Be Lonely, Ave Maria
Broadway: Her Oscars Medley in 2008
World Music: End of Time
Adult Contempory: Honesty, The Way We Were
Would you like to point it out? Last time I checked, dance-pop post 2004 is not like the dance-pop pre-2004, that was more bubblegum/urban that Britney/Christina/Madonna/Cher/etc. were creating.
No, I'm backing you up. :hugs:
Why do you keep responding to me if what I'm saying continuously goes over your head? Beyoncé's accolades are her own and in a different field/genre, but overall Britney has been a more successful recording artist. Britney's below Madonna, Mariah, Whitney and Celine only.
And yes, it is obvious who had the bigger impact. One of these girls gave up on promoting and has lived on residuals/the music alone since late 2004 and the other has to promote at every stop possible and still has no chance at touching the other's total numbers/impact.
You're wrong to assume Bey "has" to do anything. But okay
Once again, you spewing inaccurate information.
Lemme guess.... Bey "had" to perform at the SB this year, to promote her newest album right?!
R&B, Hip Hop, Funk and Soul are all connected Don't act like they're opposite ends of the spectrum.
If that is true then Pop-rock, pop, dance-pop are all the same too.
I'll give you that hip-hop combines all these styles as far as instrumentals but it also has a distinct vocal style that is nothing alike the others and which is distinctly different when Beyonce does them. Compare Diva or Bow Down to Dangerously in Love.
R&B and funk don't sound alike at all. And Soul fits into both categories but real soul doesn't sound like R&B or Funk.
R&B, Hip Hop, Funk and Soul are all connected Don't act like they're opposite ends of the spectrum.
They might fall into the same main category (urban music) but r&b and funk sound nothing alike. Neither do Hip Hop and Soul. Plus these aren't the only genre Bey has dabbled in. She's done Pop, Jazz, Tribal infused music as well as middle eastern influenced track. She's done go-go. Blues, disco, latin, dance hall, chop and screw, the list goes on. None of her albums musically sound alike. She incredibly versatile both musically and vocally.
And that's not a lot. Most artists' catalog change with time, and in many cases, it's because they blend with the contemporary change rather than because they explore different areas.
I don't say Bey doesn't have diversity, but this video doesn't prove anything.
Most artists' catalogs change with time, and in many cases, it's because they blend with the contemporary trend rather than because they explore different areas.
Basically to prove who is more diverse we should ask, which of the two would be able to do everything the other has done musically? We could objectively state who has the more diverse catalogue by counting genres but the only limit to their diversity would be found in their vocal capabilities.
I think it's clear that Beyonce could sing all of Britney's songs but Britney could not sing Beyonce's.
Nicole Scherzinger has a big voice but can still do it Britney style:
Is Britney even considered an 'artist'..Even if different genres have been incorporated in her music, that doesn't necessarily imply that she has versatile talents or abilities since her contribution is limited to vocals, which are just processed to fit into songs.
Assuming that this is solely about the versatality in their discographies,it's still Beyonce.

Considering she has a recording contract, yes she is
