All my life I fought against Hip Hop. I said time and time again it promotes hatred and ignorance and Criminal Behavior You got these kids out here worshiping these monsters and they are a lost cause. People still act like it has no effect on the kids. This is terrorism. This genre of music has terrorized my community and every time we speak up about it we are vilified for it. People are fed up with this culture. It's so backwards but everybody has been so stuck on this fascist mentality the madness keeps on going. Say what you want but i'm not buying into this a lot of these young people have adapted to this but I will never. I will commit suicide before I buy into this fascist propaganda.

I actually thought that was a decent excuse. Still don't like him throwing the word around like that though, but I guess I can get where he is coming from.
The problem is that its not only offensive but its tired and desperate. I don't care if its coming from an innocent place or not. It got old and its not impressive to say homophobic things to sound hardcore or funny. Regressive reductive trash I miss when he was actually funny.
Everyone has a right to be offended by what he said. Everyone also has a right to not be offended by it.

I don't see how rapping about violence against ******s is smart or creative. I don't see how rapping about the same crap you rapped about a decade ago is creative. He isn't what he once was.

Using gay slurs just makes his music so dated. When you compare him to other people in the game like Macklemore, Eminem is an anachronism.

That passing fad rapper who Eminem is 10x more famous, successful and popular than? Bad example. Eminen is owning the music scene right now, so the general consensus must not be that his music (homophobic lyrics and all) seems "dated ."
