I'm really confused about Rap God,I know he filmed a music video for the song,but Survival also got a fkn music video,and Rap god wasn't sent to radio,so how the **** was that second single ?
I thought it was a buzz / promo single from the beginning
I've been on completely "stan" mode the past week. I don't stan for anyone, I just love music in general. I've always been a BIG fan of Em and followed him. He's kept me so intrigued throughout the years because I had a ****ed up childhood and ****ed up relationships as well and I can feel his pain and anger through his music. He's so relatable and it's beautiful watching him grow as a person and as an artist.
I've gotten at least 10 other people to buy his album too.

They also said Survival wasn't going to be released to Itunes but then they changed their minds. I personally think they released Rap God because he was getting a lot of criticism that the album was going to be too pop. They released it right after the tracklist when twitter and message boards were having a fit about all the non-Rap features. To counter that they put out Rap God to say look there's stuff for straight Rap fans too. The songs probably did a lot better than they were expecting so why not keep it rolling with a video? This pleases the straight hip hop fans (me ) while the pop fans get their fill too. Just my guess. Their marketing strategy seems to be go with flow, whatever is working.
