I always liked Applause, but my love for it has gone down a little now that I have more songs that seem to be superior and more in line with my tastes off the album.
I still have it on my playlists and still play it daily, im just not craving it like I was. So in that regard I guess I appreciate it less than I did before we had ARTPOP in it's HQ glory.
I think overall the label made a good decision, but it it's whatever.
I love Applause and I love that it's the last song on the album, it fits.
It doesn't really represent the album though. Thematically it would have made sense to release it as the last single then, like getting the Applause for the full album era.
Was it the right single choice? I don't know. It was a good re-introduction I guess.
Once i heard applause after listening to the rest of album I couldnt have chosen a better song to close the album, it made me appreciate the song even more
Yes, it's in my Top 5 favorite tracks from the album easily. Completely underrated musically and commercially from the start, and now it has showed everyone just how great it really is.
Nope. If anything i like less since basically every track on ARTPOP is better than Applause. However, I now see why they ended up choosing it as the lead.
BTW was too serious while Artpop is full of fun and sex
so i guess if gaga were to come back with a sex song everyone will be trashing her for 360 degree change in her style
hence applause was a good choice .. it has a personal message yet it is fun.
