They dont claim us!

Cause we're not really gay. Like I'm gonna marry a woman and I only date women, I'm just attracted to men as well and experimenting I guess

They either think we're secretly gay but ashamed of it so we lie and say we're bi (bisexual men) or we're lying and saying we're bi for attention (bisexual women). There's also an assumption that bisexuality is only a phase and that a bisexual person will always end up with a person of the opposite sex in the end, and if you get into a relationship with a bisexual they'll cheat on you with someone of the opposite sex. Also being a bisexual female, I get complaints that I didn't have to stuggle with homophobia because "everybody loves a bi girl" which isn't 100% true either.

Part of the problem is people using bisexuality as a rouse for popularity(teenage girls that sometimes make out for each other just cause boys like it) or simply to hide their actual homosexuality. Ruining it for the real legitimate bisexuals.

Exactly and I love the bold bisexual girl's don't have it any easier than the men imo, just the discrimination comes in a bit of a different form.

I don't think there is a way to measure how accepting people are. It depends on the area. Some places it's not considered exceptional at all to have bisexual experiences. In NA it's more rigid even for some gay people. I used to be very ignorant about bisexually until I had a personal experience that opened my eyes

You do not represent all bisexual people, though. Some bisexual people are the exact opposite.

There's definitely a lot of ignorance about bisexuality in pretty much all the other communities; I know many people, some of whom I otherwise respect and some of whom are actually gay and should know better than to be so ignorant, who believe "bisexuality isn't real" and that anyone who claims to be bisexual is, as Guernica said "secretly gay and ashamed of it" or pretending to be bi for attention.

I have known some gay guys who have told their parents they're bisexual so that it would soften the blow, so to speak, of coming out to them, but I'm sure they're vastly in the minority of all people who identify as bisexual.

As a Bi guy it is highly annoying that the gays think that i'm lying like lay off

Tbh I feel like it's the complete opposite [with me and my case] but none of my friends see it like that and think its some phase just because I'm not tied down in a relationship. It's annoying and sometimes really demeaning.

A lot don't. Some don't even believe bisexuality exists. Which is REALLY sad and pathetic.

Cuz 80% of the people who claim they're bisexual, are just gay.
I'm extremely annoyed by how everything and everyone is bisexual nowadays.
They like the ****, but in fear of rejection by society they say 'Oh I like women too.'

That's why the gays don't claim 'em, it's sad for the real bisexuals tho.
