Can you? Let's say you come from very humble upbringings, broken families or disgraced situations... do you think you can overcome and forget your past or will you always struggle with your childhood issues?
I think people can rise above to an extent and become a better person after having lived in difficult situations but I think those types of things leave a permanent scar on the person. Although that's not always a bad thing, for example if somebody grew up poor and came into money later in life, they might be more inclined to be more generous/kind towards people who are still in that situation or not take their life for granted. So sometimes struggling can make somebody a better person then if they haven't struggled.
If you work hard you can achieve anything.
You can't just wallow in your own self pity and not even try to change your circumstances
You have to play the cards you've been dealt and make the most of them, which is what I'm trying to do now.
