I'd say art is a creative expression of the human mind, and how other humans interpret that. So I guess in that sense it doesn't necessarily work for animals. And not everything is art, but it can be made out to be for sure, we could say that humans sitting here typing on a computer, thinking about how far we've come, is a form of art.

For me art is art that you wanted to happen, like planned. BUT NOT random stuff. I hate it when people just throw paint onto a paper and call it art. Other example: Marina Ambramovic, the present is art. How is the stupid stuff she does art?

Art is the product of a creative process. I believe it's there to make you see things from a different perspective, to raise questions and obviously to entertain you as well.

Yes, because it's subjective. Anything could be considered as art, regardless of being good or bad, if one could even apply these terms to art.

This is like the exact response you can expect from anyone who doesn't know **** about art. Sorry, don't mean to pick on you, but it's really disheartening. When someone looks at a piece and goes "wtf my 3 year old could do that" or "I could've made that! why the hell is ________ famous, this _______ worth millions?" it's just sad for me to hear.


Art is very, very broadly defined, and its scope will continue to grow as we experiment more and discover new materials, technologies, processes, ideas, etc.

Art can be anything tbh, and Art is in the eye of the beholder like people say everything gaga does isnt art but to her it is because its something shes crafted, shes made, shes molded till perfefection

That's alright mr. Art teacher, but this is about MY definition of Art. Not anything is art to me. I don't feel anything watching Marina Abramovic sitting on a chair. There are no emotions.
