Haven't listened to ARTPOP yet, so can't comment on whether that would even be the right direction for Rih.
As long as the lyrics are actually good, EDM isn't out of the question.
But I don't get the sentiment that she should mimic others and record similar music to someone else, especially someone of Gaga's figure. Why would she copy someone else when she's perfectly fine setting trends herself?
