a flop is when you try to appeal to everyone and make easy digested trash, yet no one or very few care (aka Avril Lavigne)

Quality wise, Linkin Park kinda tanked on me with their album, there were only just a couple tracks that I liked. Plus one of the versions of "what I've done" music videos came off really badly to me. (The one with all the images.)
Sales & chart wise, I'd like to say Clarkson too, but she managed a platinum certification and had a top 10 hit out of it. So I will co-sign on Duran Duran, they used to be massive.
