I was hoping for a low 70s for the album. She should be getting a couple more ratings. I hope Billboard gives her a positive review especially with the cover and all.

4 reviews is all you need to get a Metacritic score so I don't know why she doesn't have a score yet, granted, she doesn't even have a Metacritic page yet.

Conservatively using 70 for Boston Globe, Kelly's current score is 67.5 ~68. Pretty solid but should be higher. If Boston did give her that 80, then WIR would have a Metacritic score of 70.

Edit: I'm pretty sure Hitfix and Newsday don't count for Metacritic, Gareth. I could be wrong but I'm 90% sure they don't.

Kelly’s career was beginning to flop and she felt that she needed to something to give her career a jump start so she felt that by having a Christmas album and Special was a way to do this and the Record Executive gives it a go. However she got Reba and Trisha to collaborate with her by threatening to release incriminating photos of them on the Internet. Numerous celebrities were now begging to be on her Christmas Special. But she turned them down.

Underneath the Tree was performed twice. The first performance was delayed because ‘one of the lights’ was not working. A little girl came on stage and started dancing to the song. Kelly danced with her and soon 15 kids from the shelter all danced on stage. This is the only time the stage has Christmas tree up. A big animated one. It looked like it came straight out of the UTT lyric video. The second performance was without the kids. We were told it was for a video and that the audience was going to be in it. Yay!

The rest of the set is mostly solid, if disappointingly conservative. There’s really only one risk here, and that’s her cover of Imogen Heap’s “Just for Now”. It’s a fantastic song, mature and self-aware, and Clarkson nails it, but the adult-alternative sound and complex, dysfunctional-family tale may be off-putting to those lulled by the abundance of fireside romance that precedes it.
