Yes the drop is huge, but it's expected. BTW's hype was MONUMENTAL and what goes up, must come down... but still, by INDUSTRY standards ARTPOP is going to end up being a huge success, but because it's Gaga and you pressed souls all set your standards ridiculously high, it's a set back...

I am quite sure no one was expecting her to sell 1 million. But 375K after selling more than a million is ridiculous. It's a 66% drop. You can't find excuses for that, stop. Where is her massive loyal fanbase? Where is her album seller power?

Gaga not having a #1 song should be irrelevant to her first week sales. She is a so called album artist, the biggest celebrity in the world, a touring force, Forbes etc. and all of the others things that were said about her from BTW until now. So why then are we using the excuse that Applause wasn't a hit like it's Katy's fault she smashed and Gaga didn't. No matter which way you spin it this a is pretty embarrassing sales decline for someone like Gaga and if the prediction holds I'm curious as to how much ARTPOP will sell in total since as BTW proved, Gaga tends to be rather front loaded with sales.

they keep bringing up Katy but she's a "singles artist". And in the singles department, Katy blows Gaga out of the war (like check the stats of Roar vs Applause, the former is like above it everywhere rn not even lying hihi). But in album sales, Gaga is barely outdoing Katy. it's just kinda embarrassing when Gaga is this "albumz sellerz" & she's debuting in rage of PRISM sized numbers.

The only thing the monsters do is to blame Katy because "she smashed so hard with Roar" as an excuse for Applause being a flop and now this underwhelming Artpop first week prediction.
