There you are again. You should never use the words despite her moderate success lead single. An album artist is an album artist. Look at Taylor. Mean performed moderately yet she still opened with 1.1 m.

How is selling 370,000 copies in a week a bad thing? Have you read about sales climate in the US? These predictions shouldn't even be taken that seriously, ARTPOP comes out in two weeks. I honestly see Gaga pulling 450,000 on her first week, she still has a massive fan base. I know Monsters deserve to be dragged because of their comments on that Katy's prediction thread, but it's not necessary, I don't understand when this stan war will be finally over. Take a break guys.

HOLD ON! I just realized that this basically means that Gaga will be the first, and most likely only, female artist to open with 300K+ this year.

I agree with you, let them pressed.

Anyway, Gaga will do fine!

Where are the little monsters gremlins now who were so sure ARTPOP would shift millions?
(Yes I do know this is only a prediction, but we all know Gaga won't exceed it anyway).

Eminem is a vet he SHOULD be outselling Gaga regardless so using him isn't really saying much when she was selling up to par with him on TFM in the U.S for 2010's album sales. TF/TFM may have not went to number 1 but TFM still eventually sold a lot and helped TF sell more.
The only difference from Taylor and Gaga is that Taylor is a hell of a lot more consistent (especially in the US), but even then she still doesn't do the things that Katy has done single wise either.
I will say though that it is interesting how a lot of Gaga's singles haven't reached number 1, they still sell well overall though so it's not like that matters either. Even some of Taylor's biggest sellers haven't hit 1.

And with only a moderate hit! What kind of selling POWER?

I don't care about first week sales, I just want her to have longevity.
The album Venus is in deserves at least that much.
And @ Britney stans going in on the Monsters yet again. Have you guys not learned anything from the Work Bitch incident?
Karma's gonna bite y'all in the ass again when Britney Jean debuts with less than 200k.

But I thought she sold 1.1 Million Copies of Born This Way?
If you've been insisting on those numbers for the past 2 years, stick with it.
It's the same thing as what is beneficial? Born This Way as a third album or a second album?
Gerls, we already know how you roll. Make new excuses

People forget Applause hasn't moved that much. PRISM number are ridiculously bad when you compare it to Roar success. ARTPOP numbers are great when you compare it to Applause success.

The album seller Lady Gaga selling only 89K more than the singles artists (according to monsters) Katy Perry?
It does not compute, I thought album sellers were able to open with at least 650K.
LMAO at the excuses. I smell another sweet delicious piece of karma coming for you monsters.

True that Gaga is sliding down fast, but the Katy fans are making it so dramatic I cannot fathom.

Apparently they lower they standards and Gaga is not an album artist anymore and she needs them #1 hits to sell

I am enjoying the scene right, the little monsters and the katy cats are going after each other so hard, I can't even imagine what if both of gaga and Katy's albums fail to sell what the fans are expecting at the end. A big mess.
