It's called physics, its tail keeps it balanced so it doesn't fall over. And it probably would have enough muscle in its legs to push itself up, anyway.

It uses it's wings, which are bigger in proportion.

I said if it did fall over, of course it would be difficult to topple it, but I think it would be difficult for it to get up as well.

Also, I can't Imagine how its legs would help much if it's flat on its side.

I'd like to point out that an ostrich is more circular shaped when seen from above; Wouldn't that help it roll over to a better position so it can be face down, and therefore use it's legs as they should be used.

A T-Rex wouldn't be able to do that because its giant tail would be in the way.

How about by rolling onto its front, and getting up from there. You don't honestly think that if an animal fell on its side it would just lie there and die, do you?

Yes... in which case it would roll into its front (and on top of its legs) and push itself back up, with its tail to help with its stability. I'm pretty sure that archaeologists would have been able to discover if the leading cause of the Tyrannosaurus Rex's death was falling over and being unable to get up due to its tail getting in the way. Also, Ostriches get a lot of help to get up with the use of its neck and head. I imagine that it flops it really hard to get momentum.

It would be very difficult to knock it over on it's side tho. I mean how would it trip and fall over like that. If it was able to save itself I bet the the tail played the biggest part, I mean its ginormous.

To answer the question.

A t-rex would stand up if fallen by tucking its knees up by the sides of its body and rolling (using neck/tail) until it was correctly oriented. Then it would just lift with its legs.

They're already dead though.
