Does anyone else find it interesting that a certain pop star has framed her entire career about "uniting music and art" and "statements about fame and pop culture" and all of that by employing crazy, attention-seeking stunts, but Rihanna simply lives her life and has real artists and writers making commentaries about her position as one of our generation's greatest icons?
Well, to be honest, I was kind of shocked when I read she wanted to go to Damien Hirst 5 times. Like I didn't even know she was invested in art, but to know that she is, is such an amazing feeling for me.
I'm an art student and obviously art is a huge part of my life, I would've never thought Rih is interested in art as well, I wish she displayed that a little more (not as much as Gaga though) but just, like Jay-Z, show her intelligent side every once in a while.
You don't have to be all about drugs and being naked.

I want her next album to be something like Ray Of Light by Madonna. Just a bit more mainstream
I don't feel like she's in 'that place' yet, ROL is a very deep record and so far Rih hasn't done that kind of music.
I can see her doing a record like that when she's older, but not now.
EDIT: No, I actually don't think Rih will ever do an album like that. It's not her, it's Madonna.
And that's a good thing, she should do her own thing.
Rih always surprises me with her albums and I trust her judgement. Doing GGGB, RR era with so much acclaim so young, LOUD era, TTT her second breakthrough era after RR, Unapologetic. I remember how shocked everyone was when Rih said she's doing UA so soon after TTT. I really though UA was gonna flop.
I hate those troll Navies who live through Rih her accomplishments, they're hers, not yours.
Wrong. I feel they are as much as mine as they are hers. Because I contributed to that, no matter how small or unnoticeable that contiribution was.
And that's because I love her, seeing her slaying everyone else and seeing her getting bigger and bigger everyday and heading towards legend status I feel SO PROUD because I was with her from the beggining and I feel like she's my older sister! Seeing her successful makes me happy and proud, and it should make you too.
I wouldn't mind her coming out with a new album towards the end of next year (2014). Or is the Navy not here for a 2014 release? I don't think I can make it to 2015 without new music.
