Jake Bugg: "Britney's team should let her be normal"

Jake Bugg has criticised Britney Spears's entourage for not letting her act normally.
The Mercury Prize nominee - who met Spears backstage on Alan Carr's Chatty Man earlier this month - said that the size of her entourage is "daft".
He told the Daily Star: "Britney was nice and said hello to me, but those stars have such a massive number of people it's daft.
"Staff on the show were saying to her entourage, 'I'm just going to stick a bit of tape on this microphone, is that okay?' when I was setting up. I was going, 'Just f**king stick it on there'.
"They should let people be who they want to be, not turn them into some superstar."
Spears is currently preparing to release her eighth studio album Britney Jean. The record will be available in the UK on December 2 and a day later in the US.
Her new single 'Work Bitch' is available worldwide except in the UK, where it will be released on Sunday (November 3).
Given her history, I'm not surprised that her team is very paranoid/overprotective of her. While it's arguable whether it's for her benefit or theirs, he really just makes a moot point that "They should let people be who they want to be, not turn them into some superstar." Britney has been faaaaaaaar past that point for over a decade, and it's not really possible for her to go back and just retreat into any real sense of "normalcy", per se.
"Staff on the show were saying to her entourage, 'I'm just going to stick a bit of tape on this microphone, is that okay?' when I was setting up. I was going, 'Just f**king stick it on there'.
Well duh. You can't just touch royalty without permission.
Britney is the most controlled pop star of all time... I don't see her getting any freedom anytime soon. She tried with the head shaving incident, and they really need to let the woman breathe. I don't even think they allow her to love or enjoy it.
He has shaded a lot of pop acts and definitely comes across as an annoying elitist type. His music is far from noteworthy, and as I've always said about upcoming acts who tend to have big mouths, I wish some of these artists would just learn to let their music speak for itself in the beginning and work on establishing who they are first before trying to take pot shots at any other artists. It always bites these people in the ass.
