I'd take the majority of his singles from Euphoria and beyond over the the stuff he released from his albums post Escape. I'd say there's a reason why they hit.
Not that it really differs too much from the stuff he generaly filled his albums with during that time. It always irked me that he seemed to want to be popstar but was mostly marketed as crooner or latin-themed balladeer simply because that worked for him a decade ago
You'd think if his singles were so good people would have cottoned on to that.
Another thing is despite the constant griping about his new material vs old if it's so well liked then I have to wonder were these fans were during 2003-2009 when these songs were flopping? It seems to me that a that people who liked his music but never enough to buy it now those same people don't like his music and continue not to buy it. Nothing has really changed.
