but when I was in middle school + my first high school (was there for 9th then moved) it was soo homophobic. it'd be a bit of a task to find someone who is accepting of LGBT and didn't use ''that's gay''
I went to Catholic University and always hanging out with the Straights because the number of gay students who had out are very little to none. So when we met someone that seems likely be gay, the attention must be on him/her for the next 15 minutes and that's it. The students seems very tolerant against the gays and so do the Univ. (basically just because there are never been an issue). And rumour has it that there is one homosexual comunity in the campus.
Both my high school and the community college I go to are both gay friendly.
I was actually one of the popular kids...not a typical popular kid...but I got along with every clique.
In addition, there was a popular gay football player (though I only think he played freshman football, he's not on Varsity), and we had a popular gay cheerleader. We also have a bisexual cheerleader currently and gay football player was Homecoming Prince recently and I was on Homecoming Court my senior year.
The college has a GSA. But my college lacks a good social atmosphere so I usually just leave as soon as class is over. The guys that know me in the computer lab at the main desk though are always very goofy with me. And by now, most people know my sexuality, unless they are unsure.
It's meh. It's a public school. With like 1k students or 2 from what I last remember . I don't remember much from when I was younger - I went to a Christian school then
