As of yesterday, the domestic box office total for Warner Bros.’ Gravity is now at $201.6 million. The film took 25 days to reach the $200m domestic milestone, and it now stands the highest-grossing October domestic grosser of all-time as well as the biggest domestic earner during the “Fall” (September and October season.
With $365 million worldwide and counting, the film will soon surpass the worldwide total of Taken 2 ($376m) to be the biggest live-action October grosser worldwide as well, although the $555m total of Puss In Boots could well be surpassed by the time all is said-and-done. For the moment, it lags behind Pacific Rim ($407m) as the year’s biggest grossing live-action original worldwide, but that benchmark should be surpassed in a few weeks as well.
