There is no "taken out of context." People are saying exactly what he said. He would advocate slavery for votes. He knew it would cause a stir, why even mention it?
Why not put his name instead of "Republican?" That's like changing the title to "White Person Says They'd Vote For Slavery If Constituents Wanted."
Your logic is flawed. Not every white person is a Republican. Also, his name doesn't matter. The political party he identifies with is though, and it goes to show how minorities in this country are thought of as second class citizens by people who hold political power in the GOP.
I actually think I understand what he was TRYING to say (he tried to use the most extreme hyperbole that he could think of in order to say that he's 100% a representative of the people and their wants), but it was a TERRIBLE example.
