Mmmkay, done listened 4 times now, so I feel fit to judge:
Someday (Place In The Sun): 10/10: Absolutely LOVE this song. The chorus is perfect, and then the beat drops and Tinie comes in and it's just... yessssssssssssss.
Trampoline: 8/10: I do love this, but the chorus is downright grating after too many listens. I'm kinda done with it.
Don't Sell Out: 7/10: One of the weaker tracks. Don't love it, don't hate it.
It's Ok: 8.5/10: Tinie and Labrinth always do great together, but this song kind of falls by the wayside because its not as good as the tracks at the end (which are similar, but better).
Mosh Pit: 8.5/10: Yes Tinie! This sounds mixtape-esque (which is a good thing) and Dizzee delivers. Could have a stronger hook though.
Looking Down The Barrel: 5/10: Ummm I can't get over the horrific chorus. It just does not work. At all. I can't even remember what Tinie's verses sound like because that chorus is really bad.
Children of The Sun: 10/10: I've BEEN loving this already.
Witch Doctor: 6/10: Similar to Looking Down The Barrel in that it is brought down by a messy hook. It's not as bad though.
Shape: 1/10: A horrific disaster, which is disappointing cuz I love Big Sean. It just sounds so incredibly laaaaazy! "Lemme see your shape" blehhhh. It reminds me of Snap (the only song from Disc-Overy that I hated).
Lover Not A Fighter: 9.5/10: The superior of the two Lab collabs. Love this one, and it kicks off the EXCELLENT final third of the album.
A Heart Can Change The World: 10/10: Emeli DID this. Tinie DID this. Epic all around. Should definitely be a single.
Tears Run Dry: 10/10: My favorite of Tinie's verses. Really emotional. This song would sound better with a girl doing the hook though.
Lost Ones: 9/10: Shockingly, this awesome song is actually a bit of a letdown. BUT that's only because of the three amazing songs it comes after. It's still great though.
Heroes: 10/10: I didn't know who Laura Mvula was before this, but her voice works BRILLIANTLY with this track, and Tinie's flow is on point.
5 Minutes: 10/10: 5 minutes of just flawless superior rapping, that reminds that Tinie doesn't just rely on excellent production, he can truly rap.
Do Till I: 7/10: It's fine. Nothing special, nothing terrible.
All in all, I'm extremely happy. I had HIGH HIGH expectations for this and Tinie matched them. He gave me both the emotional tracks that I needed and the ratchet tracks that I wanted. Shape is the only TRUE misstep on the album. And tracks 10-15 are just INSANE all around, both with their production, their hooks, Tinie's flow, and his lyrics.
The only thing I'm disappointed with is that he didn't collab with any of my favorite UK female pop stars. Nicole, Rita, Ellie, Tulisa, Rih...
Especially Ellie. Their collaborations are always so perfect.
Overall 9/10
