I'm not going to go through every single person's post to see if everyone who claims they disliked it from the start actually DID dislike it from the start, but I do know that this thread was a circle-jerk of praise around this same time yesterday.

Not DWUW and Venus, splitting this fanbase apart!

I don't mind people having dissenting opinions, I mind people turning on a song they liked because it didn't hit #1 on iTunes.

besides i think they already shot it and it would be a waste of money not to release it it would make Venus chart much better even though it's already doing kind of great for a Promo single

Now that Venus isn't outperforming DWUW we shouldn't care about charts? Y'all were singing a different tune last week when y'all begged Interscope to make Venus the single again because "it would do much better on the charts". Not to mention, y'all came to that conclusion based on a 40 second snippet. But do you.

Venus is only a promo single now, so it's chart performance shouldn't even matter to fairweather fans.

Let this be a lesson to anyone who thought making DWUW the single was a bad decision. DWUW isn't just the better single choice, it's also the better song overall regardless of commercial potential. Gaga agrees, Interscope agrees, critics agree, and now the global population agrees.
