Vancouver Island has warmer winters than Seattle. The city of Vancouver though its basically the same as Seattle. (rain, rain, and more rain.)

And besides, a January afternoon high of 10C (50F) is much better than a January high of -20C (-3F) in Winnipeg.

People in the United States generally make fun of Canada.

I don't know how much of it comes from any serious reasons (probably none actually). I think most is just from bandwagoning.

It's not global warming. It's normal to go swimming in Canada in the summer and it always has been.

I just don't like people thinking that all of Canada is such a cold country when I couldn't even go snowboarding in winter 2011 because there was no snow.

October has been so random. It was 22C (72F) the other day, and 20C (68F) yesterday. But we got hit by a nasty winter storm today with an overnight low of -11C.
