She also needs a big ****ing clue/reminder: She was performing at the joke of all award shows; the eMpTy TV VMAs, where serious/good performances are few and rare.
There's almost always a shocking moment that takes place at these awards as well: Britney + the snake, Madge + Britney & Xtina lip lock, Sasha Baron Cohen landing ass first on Eminem, Kanye interrupting Taylor, Gaga's meat dress, etc.

Then there's the fashion which is 95% horrible: just like people compete to be the best dressed at the Oscars, artists attending the VMAs compete to be the most outrageous/worst dressed (or at least that's how it seems to me). Gaga Pwned everyone crazy fashion wise in 2009, 2010, & 2011 when she went as Jo Calderone; not even Katy's cheese head or the fact that Nicki Minaj went to chuckie cheese and wore all the prizes she won as an outfit could compete with Gaga being completely in drag.

This year it was Miley's turn to be the main spectacle and she did a great job at proving what a joke the music industry as a whole is/has been for a while. I felt her & Robin's performance was a personal **** you to all serious musicians/artists in the biz. I didn't care for it because the VMAs are a big joke anyway. They had fun and good for them.

Miley is just not grasping the concept that she won't be taken seriously and much less approved while making a fool of herself. Madonna, Britney, Rihanna, and Gaga to name a few; have done crazy **** all the while knowing and expecting a negative response from the public. Miley wants attention, is doing crazy **** she enjoys, and isn't making serious music; fine i get it. I have several faves in the same boat as her. However, like my faves, she won't get the respect or support she wants and will turn off a lot of people by going this route. Gaga is a perfect example of this, bitch has a lot of talent imo but it is almost always over shadowed by her looks+shock antics . She knows this and couldn't care less. Madge, Brit, and Rih also don't care about people hating on them for doing what they want. Miley should take notes from all of them.

Ps Madge has the biggest balls of them all: performing at the Grammys in a wedding dress while humping the floor. Total **** you to the industry!
