I've been REALLY busy with shopping and fun, so i haven't been around to update, but now I'm back! And Randy, I didn't have the time to really do a "spell-check"

. Here's a "two-in-one" for everyone! Merry Christmas, Kwanzaa, or whatever you celebrate; celebrate it!
Arith's Top 50 Singles Of 2007!
#06.
Chris Brown F/T-Pain - Kiss Kiss
--After the flop that was "Wall To Wall", Chris really didn't have a choice but to make "Kiss Kiss" his second single, with the year T-Pain's been having. At first, I didn't care for "Kiss Kiss", but over time the song was too catchy and fun for me to really ignore. "Kiss Kiss" was a #1 hit on both the Hot 100 and on my countdown, spending 6 days at #01.
#05.
Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad
--Honestly, in January of 07', I didn't car e for Rihanna's music, and at the end of 07', I've come to tolerate her. "Good Girl Gone Bad" is the title track off of her third CD, and was NEVER made a single, but I actually liked the song enough to give it the "single" treatment". To make it clear; it's the only "non-single" in my Top 50, and it placed at #05. (Reeces? Take that take that

). "Good Girl Gone Bad" spent 6 days at #01, and retired.
#04.
Kanye West F/T-Pain - Good Life
--YE TUDDA! Kanye came back hard, and this is T-Pain's second appearance on my chart (too bad none of them are HIS songs

). "Good Life" spent a quick 10 days at #1 on my countdown and retired, but it never really got old to me! T-Pain even added something great to the song! "Good Life" was one of the best songs off "Graduation", undeniably.
Arith's 3Xclusive Top 10 Albums Of 2007!
#06 J. Holiday - Back Of My Lac'
J. Holiday definitely dropped a solid debut album, "Back Of My Lac". The 14 song set is a actually supposed to be the story events that many if not all men go through in their life time. Have you every realized that you can't go on without the love of your life? You can sit back and jam to the Darkchild produced banger, "Without You", and if you just wanna get a sexy girl across the room, "come Here" is the song you need to check out. But the album's highlight is obviously "Bed", the single that put him on the map. The album has a few missteps, such as "Laa Laa", which exposes the fact that J. holiday has a foul mouth (I've never heard so much profanity when listening to a R&B Album!

)Hopefully "Back Of My Lac" will spawn another hit or two in the new year!
Top 05:
01. Bed
02. Without You
03. Fatal
04. Be With Me
05. Suffocate

#05 Lupe Fiasco - The Cool
Lupe Fiasco definitely dropped a good album, with his sophomore effort, "The Cool" but unfortunately, it fails to compare with his debut, "Food & Liquor". With a lot of the production being done by 1st & 15th's in house producer Soundtrakk, the album really has a fluid, consistent sound, but at the same time, fails to meet the production that was featured on both the leak and official versions of "Food & Liquor", and the album tends to drag on a bit (19 songs total compared to "Food & Liquor's" 15 songs total). The album's concept revolves around a song that made his debut album, which was by the same title ("The Cool"), but expands. 9You have to actually listen to the album to get what I'm saying, or research it

). Anyways, the album definitely isn't for idiots, the lyrics seem a bit complex, but the storytelling is great, especially on "hip Hop Saved My Life", "Paris, Tokyo", and another one of my favorites, the second single "Superstar". The album is definitely for those who like substance in their hip hop. And because it was released so late in the year, this album might make my albums list next year if I do one, but I'll need to listen more. But yeah, I'm gonna go listen to "Food & Liquor" now... lol.
Top 05:
01. Hip-Hop Saved My Life F/Niki Jean
02. Superstar F/Matthew Santos
03. Dumb It Down F/GemStones
04. Paris, Tokyo
05. Gotta Eat
CC: Streets On Fire, The Coolest
#04 Chris Brown - Exclusive
Hate it or love it, Chris Brown dropped a great sophomore CD with "Exclusive". The album, which features artists The Game, T-Pain, Big Boi, Kanye West & Lil Wayne, along with production from Jazze Pha, The Dream, Scott Storch, The Underdogs, Bryan Micheal-Cox and so much more is definitely a step up from his debut set. The album is more pop-friendly compared to his debut, but the album has a lot more crossover appeal than you'd expect. With so many great songs, it's hard to imagine that "Wall To wall" was the best lead single they could come up with, with other great potential singles such as "Take You Down", "I'll Call Ya", and "Lottery". The slower songs on the album are even a upgrade, even the used-and-abused Stargate produced hit "With You" contributes to the album. I would really have to say that it's one of the best R&B CD's of the year.
01. I Wanna Be
02. With You
03. Lottery
04. I'll Call Ya
05. Kiss Kiss
CC: Take You Down, Damage
