If Rihanna ever record a song like Grown Woman or Single Ladies, I will delete it and will never listen to it. Only Girl is her only feminine song so I want it to be the first and her last. All her songs trancend race, gender and ages. And a song like GW or SL will ruin that.

I love that OG can be perceived as a female empowerment song and/or can be summed up by "take me for a ride ride."
It wasn't really a female empowerment song. Well not in the veins of Single Ladies. But it is too feminine. I was actually thought it was risky for her (that time) since the song focuses on very limited audience (which proved to be wrong). I just can't imagine a guy belting OG but I can see a guy belting out Russian Roulette and Diamonds. There's a big difference. I guess it's just the theme of the song cause in the end, OG smashed harder than I expected regardless of how feminine the song was.

Oh it was her first female empowerment. I'm sorry to forget it. It was a bop during my first year of stanning (2007) but it was now a non factor and it will never be.
