SAAM FARAHMAND WILL DIRECT JANET'S NEW VIDEO "FEEDBACK"



J|X Exclusive: Janet|Xone has confirmed that British director Saam Farahmand will be directing the video for "Feedback."

Earlier this month, the Vice Magazine blog had reported that Farahmand was in New York directing a video for Janet, however aside from that one report there had been no other confirmation that he was indeed directing "Feedback."

Rumors about other people directing the video are not true.

This will be Janet's first time working with Farahmand, who in the past has directed videos for Simian Mobile Disco ("Hustler"), New Young Pony Club ("Ice Cream"), and Klaxons ("Magick").

I've seen those videos and they all are very . . . different from anything Janet has really done. lol Maybe this guy is good at what he does but I can't see his style fitting with some fast paced dancing video like you'd normally expect from Janet Jackson.

Anyways, I've seen the photo floating around as well (it was on Perez Hilton) I dunno, it looks interesting. I know she's going for this whole dark theme no the album so I hope she doesn't get too caught up in the image (the previous video for So Excited was dark in terms of look as well).

janet has always been original if anything people copy from her but i think her problem is that, unlike madonaa, she doesn't really reinvent herself. i look forward to her giving us something hot but i'm not that obsessed that i will tolerate garbage...so i'lll give her a chance to get it poppin like she use to.

Very well stated, and for the record Janet has been able to maintain her credibility. Not until the Superbowl incident has Janet really ever received bad press. The only other thing that comes to mind is how she kept her marriage under wraps but that isn't really a bad thing, just a personal choice she made.

I think this album will be a good one. It has something I feel both Damita Jo and 20 Y.O. lacked that her other albums all had present . . . a theme.

Discipline . . . so far seems dark and serious. Hopefully all the songs won't be just club/dance tracks but some with messages (similar to What About or Rhythm Nation)
