Wow she didn't deny it and didn't say anything to qualify her answer like "but Dr Luke is great and makes fantastic hits." She sounds unhappy and trapped.

Well she must of had some input in her image/sound right? She can't be 100 percent industry created?

This is the stupidest statement I've read about this subject.

Ke$ha signed a contract with Luke, back in like 2006 - 2007 before Luke was known for party tracks and more for rock tracks (aka One of The Boys esque tracks, Early Kelly Clarkson, P!nk etc.).

She wanted a rock-pop record, so it made sense to sign with him. Years go by, and she finally gets a deal with Sony. She sends in all her demo's she had created before her record deal, chose the best tracks and Luke made a couple of tracks for her.

Tik Tok becomes massive to the point it's the best selling solo digital single still to this day, and suddenly Luke makes cuts her creative freedom and makes her only able to release party tracks.

She filmed her own video's for Stephen + Animal (personal tracks to her) and he wouldn't let her release them so they became bonus' on A+C,

So to sum up, she signed a deal with Luke before Luke became a hit factory, and now she's stuck with a deal that she didn't sign up with. So it's not her being disrespectful. Luke is the one desperate wanting to live off Tik Tok's success, rather than let her become her own artist.

For someone who didn't sign up to be a party hit maker, I'd be pissed AF as well.

How is she disrespectful to him? She was asked answers and she answered truthfully, as an artist she has every right to have creative freedom. She didn't say she agreed with them sending him death threats and etc.

I agree that yes, she signed a contract and yes, she must go along with it in which she is doing.

However, he is just putting nails in her coffin by obviously releasing stale crap that the public isn't here for especially after seeing a previous single flop and not giving a damn and trying to release another similar single knowing the risk from the previous damage when the GP wants a ballad or mid tempo ala Last Goodbye.

I'm pretty sure he painted her a pretty photo when she was 17 and signed the contract. It's been 7 years and things have probably changed once she got successful and started going places.

HE isn't her label though. Like he owns Kemosabe records, but it's a unit of RCA. He makes the decisions of her career, but ultimately RCA is Kemosabe's parent company. So Luke isn't her label, but his label company is her label.

She's talking about the singles. Not the albums.

She makes the albums and the label (Luke) make her singles.
So she didn't have a choice but to record and release Die Young, C'Mon & Crazy Kids.

He gives her a beat to work with, and he approves her lyrics.

He explained the process in an interview with Luke about Cannibal. He said he already had beats made for her before she walked into the studio.

Now that C'mon and Crazy Kids both flopped hard maybe he will let her try something different (like Wrecking Ball for example. I was surprised that Luke produced that song).

I don't see Ke$ha's potential and how she's any more than basic radio fodder
Don't get me wrong shes a nice girl but there's nothing about her that sets her apart from the other pop girls

I also don't like how she's portraying Dr Luke in such a bad light when without him she wouldn't be anything
He's no Terry Richardson and some of his productions are actually really good
