I get how you're feeling though, Scizor has been one of my fave Pokemon since Gen II and I love ha Mega Form but he seems so OP I doubt he'll be allowed in OU

Not really tbh. His Mega has less power than Banded Scizor, I think people will use it only (or preferably) for the Swords Dance set.

In fact most Megas of the powerhouses of OU, except for Luc, won't see much use (Garchomp, Gyarados, Tyranitar, Scizor), imo.

I think i said some time before but some Megas will see less play than their original formes and Mega Scizor is definitely one of them
Heracroos and Alakazam are definitely worse too

Sylveon and Mega Gengar are BEASTS.

Part of that reason, imo, is that they are already very solid Pokemon on their own. Unless they get crazy stuff like Lucario and Gengar, people won't bother too much on making them their Mega and losing an item slot.

I think stuff like Mawile, Absol, maybe Aerodactyl and Houndoom/Manectric (kinda doubtful about this one) will be more popular than the others.

I really enjoy the Battle Maison. Seeing so many foreign Pokemon and Infernape/Typhlosion look great in the game.

MegaGengar has had me pressedT for a while. A friend of mine who I battle every so often with our in game teams for now, swept my team when he added gengar to his roster. I'm knowledgable in competitive battling but I can't think of a counter?

I'm glad they're finally addressing where Gengar might be placed in terms of tiers.

Alakazam has no Magic Guard + Life Orb combo.
Scizor is already great with CB and there is really no need for M-Scizor.
Heracross is just too slow
Gyarados's Flying type is better than Dark type and the item space loss hurts it a bit
Ampharos is just too slow
M-Banette is too frail and has not that much to abuse (but it will definitely see more use than the normal Banette )
Garchomp's speed loss criples him a bit

MegaScizor only has +20 base Attack compared to the basic form. Regular Scizor easily out-damages him with a Choice Band, hell even Life Orb. That's the case with many other Megas actually. Mewtwo Y, Gengar, and I don't really remember others, but that is the case for most of them.

So which Megas do y'all think will be used more ?

Well, at first, obviously the Trinity - Lucario, Blaziken and Gengar. Then after 2/3 of them are banned idk maybe Mawile, Absol, MegaChar X/Y, Gardevoir etc. I can't really tell.

I know I'll be using Manectric and Banette though.
