Omfg, NOT THE ICONIC BOP BALLAD CLASSIC OF THEIR GENERATION  Time After Time is the second single from ha 18m selling alberm "She's So Unusual. I must say that TAT is one of my faves in this rate because of the authenticity of its song based on its emotions in its vocals. Lyrically, it is such an inspiring and heartfelt song which touches you in an emotional and spiritual level. This song is really emotional for me because of its lyrics alone "If You Fall i will catch you, i'll be waiting...time after time"
It is one of those songs of the 80's that truly defined the decade and the generation and is still frequently played on adult contemporary radio today. And the massive amount of its covers is just a testament that Cyndi Lauper cemented her status as an 80's icon and legend until today (she is coming for EGOT status hoe) The Rolling Stone and MTV's 100 Greatest Pop Songs ranked it at No. 66.
