The commercial of that episode was exciting "OPRAH'S FAVORITE THINGS ZOMG" and a special guest where they had a shot of Josh's hair and I bet Bon Jovi's fans also tuned in that day. LMAO. The show was being broadcasted from a town where the statistics say that 40% of its population can't miss an Oprah episode. The whole episode was interesting for all the holy mothers with all the gifts and the blessings of O, then after Josh made his ~*amazing*~ performance with the so ~*touching*~ choir. Oprah went nuts and she was like THIS IS MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS CD EVER and EVERYBODY IN AMERICA SHOULD BUY THIS OMGOMGOMG~
Celine must be biting her lips now that she didn't catch on the right episode.

Oprah can sell anything, even beyond just a CD. I'd like to see how she would fair with the most random objects. (Whoopie cushions, fruit cakes, an im with stupid shirt, a sack of fake poo, etc.)
But I think Oprah started his sales' spike (via Favorite things show?), and it just caught on and snowballed from there. (through word of mouth, curiosity-hype, etc.)
I've scanned several copies of Josh Groban CDs while cashiering at Target this week. Copies of Noel alone have been disappearing rather quick.
