I bet her label heard the lyrics of Venus and she insisted on it becoming a single, then they had a compromise deal where they were going to see if DWUW was going to stick and it did. I wasn't a fan of the lyrics of Venus.
I cant at you guys doing the MOST as usual and bemoaning this decision when we haven't even heard Venus yet.
DWUW should have been the 2nd single all along - they knew the lyrics were more relatable and that it sounds like the voice of Jesus. Now the sales are going to be split between 2 weeks and this week will basically not have any radio airplay or streaming
Oh and I dont know why everyone is calling this messy. If this is infact true Venus has yet to be released, as far as the GP knows DWUW is the second single. Its nothing like TEOG/Judas.
Not believing this unless she or someone from her team properly confirms this.
Maybe it'd be a good idea, but it's not a good thing to promise a single release and then cancel it like that just because a promo single happened to do well, and it's not even like it is setting the charts on fire on it's own for all we know. Could turn out to be a bad decision too.

Eh, I wouldn't worry too much to be honest. What Applause showed us is that a slow burn with GaGa is indeed possible. Imagine what will happen with the urban play!
When she announced a promo single, I knew this would happen again. She/ they will NEVER learn

TREND IT.
It's cute and all that DWYW got to #1, but it's and album track only and will disappear off the charts before the week is up.
DWYW will sell the album good and does already. But it get's really messy
Like everybody said this should have been 1./2. single and now everybody is complaining again
